While our material is obviously strongly linked to our social, political and legal context, perhaps there are ways in which it can be adapted for other contexts - the indicator framework (I hesitate to call it a 'model') should have generic applicability.i
I think it was the late George Miller (sometime president of the American Psychological Association), who wrote an inspiring paper about the importance of research translation - once we are sure of its use and validity - the task is to give what we have learned away so as to create a better world. We should of course be aware of the point made at our meeting - that if we want to change the world we better know what we are doing....
