When I was invited to give this speech, I was asked if I could give a simple short talk that was "direct, naked, taut, honest, passionate, lean, shivering, startling, and graceful." Boy, no pressure there. But let's begin with the startling part. Thank you very much for the warm welcome! I am a friend of Simon Jackson and as an advocate of social change, human rights and international development i am pleased to be part of this network. Our youth is truly our most precious commodity. They will be the next leaders in our society and I firmly beleive that they will be the leaders of social and sustainable change.
