Hello everybody
The new training programm on Child Rights, Classroom and School Management consists of five phases, one preparatory phase at home, second in Sweden, third at home working, fourth the regional seminar and fifth is the mentors visit and final report. The second phase of the programme will take place in Lund from May 10 to June 2, 2010 so we have added three days to this part. The fourth phase will take place in Uganda, October/November, 2010.
The target group is still the same: Preferably a team consisting of 3 people from each country representing the three levels:
– At school level: headmasters, inspectors and educational advisers who are working with the development of methodology and management at school and classroom level in a number of schools;
– At intermediate level: officers and trainers responsible for educational activities at district or province level;
– At central level: teacher trainers, headmaster trainers, staff at institutes working with educational development and at Ministries of Education.
The list of countries that are invited to apply has changed and thus some countries are not a part of the new programme and we also have some new ones to welcome. The following countries are invited:
- Africa: Burkina Faso, Egypt, Ethiopia, Liberia, Mali, Malawi, Namibia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia
- Asia: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam
- Latin America: Bolivia and Colombia

www.education.lu.se/sida/child for the programme. All applicants still have to send the signed application form to the nearest Swedish embassy.
Closing date for applications is February 1, 2010.
